The first ones always take me more time, the next ones will take less, but this first one took more than 3000 hours. I do everything, from the design to the fabrication to the first to last piece. The first ones are always difficult, because you always encounter problems, it’s more of a prototype than other thing (but it’s one of my best wheels nonetheless). I have to do everything, but also I have to do everything well, while at home! It’s a difficult task and a challenge, but I like those kind of challenges. I love doing wheels and improving myself, those 3000 hours are hours of passion, more than work. Every wheel I do is handmade and has its own story, this one was imagining how to do the design and execute it. What Porsche makes at their factories, making it myself at my small workshop. The worst part was finding the materials and building it. With the programs of today, everyone can make a design (and I’ve seen ones better than mine), but the building is way harder to do. I’ve seen people design and print wheels in 3D printers, but mines are made on a CNC, my hands and a lot of sweat hahaha.

Oui, maintenant que tu mets le doigt dessus je te rejoins. Je pense que l’ensemble des étapes est très largement comptées. Pour la réalisation il parle d’un ou deux mois, après difficile de convertir en heures.
